Chicago

I didn't get to see Oprah's show, watch a game at Wrigley Field or check out Al Capone's vault. hehe. However, during my short stay in Chicago, I got to check out Millennium Park ...

... visit a blues bar ...
Kingston Mines

... go up the Sears/Willis Tower ...

... walk to Lake Michigan ...

... and try deep dish pizza. No picture taken for the pizza though.

It was great. See you again some time, Chicago!

One final note: Chicago's public transit system was pretty good. I didn't use a cab or rent a car the whole week I was there. Only light rail and bus.

that's good to know about the reliable mass transit service. been toying with the idea of seeing the second city too. how was it, aside from the places you show is there anything for someone like me who's not into shopping?

PC, the art museum at Chicago is supposed to be good. Has the American Gothic painting. I didn't get to go though.

I thought about checking out second city, too. Maybe next time.

About this time next year, the Baguio City High School Triennial reunion will be in Chicago. Never been there, and you can pretty much give me a quick overview if it's worth visiting or not, hehe....

I want to get photographed with that on the first photo as background. ;)

There's lots of stuff to do, TB. You can do a boat tour on Lake Michigan or the CHicago River, visit the art museum, go to a blues club, attend a baseball game, watch Billy Elliot, the musical (hehe), see the Blue man Group, etc.

witsandnuts, you're not alone. =D

that glass floor still gives me the jitters, ugh. I have tremendous fear of heights :(

Last time I was in Chicago was 15 years ago. High time to go back :)

bw, the glass floor was definitely freaky, but also awesome. hehe
